Year 6 Presentation Scheme

Towards the end of their last year with us, we traditionally ask Year 6 children to purchase a book and donate it to school. These books are then inscribed with their name and mark your child’s time at Ashleigh Primary School. Younger children really enjoy seeing the bookplates with their older friends' names!

The best way to choose a book for the library is to check our Wish List - it will be updated just before, so you don't have to worry about purchasing a duplicate. You can also choose from our Scholastic Book Fair which visits in Spring Term. In either case the book will be delivered directly to school so you don't have to remember it!

Alternatively you may of course buy a book from anywhere else and send it in to school. We do reserve the right to distribute books to class libraries or to other schools should we receive multiple copies of the same book.

We've received a number of generous donations recently (thank you so much!), so there are certain authors we don't need at the moment - these are:

- Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants series)

- Adam Blade (Beast Quest series)

- JK Rowling (Harry Potter series)

- Julia Donaldson (rhyming picture books)

- Michael Morpurgo

- Enid Blyton

- David Walliams

- Phonics books from any scheme

Please avoid these when you are choosing your donation.
